Thank you for joining us (whether it was in person or in spirit) at the recent Easter Open Day event we held at Siyabonga Africa last week, 5 April. Your presence and support made the day a great success – we are grateful for you continued partnership.
The Open Day gave over 100 unemployed young people the opportunity to explore the services and training available at Siyabonga Africa, meet past students who are excelling in their fields, attend a baking master class, and register to become a student. We are thrilled to report that the event was a huge success, and many young people left feeling motivated and inspired.
Thanks to your generous support, we were able to give each of our unemployed guests one Opportunity in an Egg, which included food vouchers, e-learning courses, home vegetable garden starter kits, and a chance to buy products from other entrepreneurs. These opportunities may just be the first step to many of them finding their pathway out of poverty – and it has your name on it.
As we start our financial year this month, we endeavour to facilitate 840 courses, train and develop 250 people, secure employment opportunities for 50 people, establish 60 to 120 businesses, and create 170 jobs. All of this by March 2024 and we cannot do it without the support of people like you.
