Siyabonga Africa launches School of Fashion

Last Friday saw the official launch of our new School of Fashion in partnership with Rethink Fashion Incubator in Boksburg.

One of  several programmes aimed at alleviating poverty and helping young, jobless South Africans create small start up businesses, the School of Fashion will provide an outlet for creativity and innovation in the fashion industry. Several students took the opportunity to exhibit their designs.

CEO of Siyabonga Africa, Sarah Jane Brink, described the organisation’s vision of, “A world without fear, worries and poverty. We want to free the people in this country from poverty,” she added. Students of the fashion school described how it has changed their lives.

Director of  Rethink Fashion Incubator, Faith Mtshali, said the students evolve every day, and that they will not sell products that are less than perfect.
