Underprivileged feel Christmas Cheer

Children's party

Thanks to support from our many generous donors and partners, Siyabonga Africa was able to make sure that poor and homeless people were touched by the spirit of Christmas.

120 families in need received food parcels to last through the holidays. Each parcel feeds a family of four for about a month. Around 200 cooked meals were distributed to homeless people in the East Rand. We also joined hands with the SAPS once again to hold a Christmas party for over 100 children from poverty stricken homes and communities.

The party, held at the local municipal swimming pool in perfect summer conditions, was a huge success. The kids each got a balloon, tasty treats and a small gift. It was a rare chance to just be kids and enjoy splashing about in the water and having fun.
