If so, we may be able to help you get up and running again.

Siyabonga Africa is offering a business rescue solution for small, informal businesses affected by the unrest in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng. Support is in the form of limited financial contributions (R30 000 spread over 12 months), coupled with business coaching aimed at building capacity and strengthening sustainability.

To apply for assistance you must:

  • Have been running a small/informal business that was negatively or severely affected by the looting;
  • Be able to prove that the business exists/existed, and have evidence of the damages and references;
  • Be determined to get your business back up and running again;
  • Have a good idea of the cost of damages and stock you will need to get started;
  • Be willing to participate in the programme for ± 12 months, which includes business coaching sessions, assignments and reporting, in order to gain access to financial incentives for repairs or stock.
