Help newly trained ECD teachers qualify

Early Childhood Development

Please support our efforts to give under-privileged children the best start in life.

Good quality pre-school facilities in the townships and suburbs are crucial. Because, affordable child care centres not only provide the right foundation for children’s learning – they are also a safe place for moms to leave their kids while they are at work (or out looking for jobs).

But the women who run these centres need to be properly trained and qualified. And they need proper equipment – like child size tables and chairs, educational charts, paints, puzzles and other toys.

Right now we have 30 teachers who’ve completed their ECD NQF level 4 training … but they don’t have the money to pay the examination fee or to buy start up equipment for their new ECDs.

If you can donate R750 now, you’ll give one trainee
the chance to sit the examination, and become fully qualified.
A contribution of R2 500 pays for an Edu Kit for one teacher –
with all the basics to start their own ECD.
It’s an investment, not only in a teacher’s professional development.
But also in every young life they will touch going forward.

Think back to your own childhood. Wasn’t there one a particular teacher who made a lasting impact on you or inspired you? Please pay it forward, by helping more teachers gain their qualification, and the equipment needed to provide children with quality early learning. Because, every child in South Africa deserves that!

If you join forces with Siyabonga Africa now,
you’ll help make that happen … one new teacher at a time.
Thank you for helping us lay strong foundations for our children.
