Our thriving organic food garden

We are thrilled to share the fantastic progress and developments from our organic food garden!

Since we planted the seeds on Mandela Day, our garden has been flourishing at an astonishing pace.

But that’s not all – our staff members have completed a comprehensive gardening course, and their newfound skills and knowledge are now being put to use in nurturing our beautiful garden.

Special recognition goes to our talented and passionate ladies, Beauty and Tshego, who have taken on the vital role of caring for our greenhouse tunnel and ensuring that our plants receive all the love and attention they need.

At the heart of our initiative lies the empowerment of women within our community. By entrusting them with the care of our garden, we are not only fostering a sense of ownership and pride but also providing them with a platform to showcase their talents and contribute to a sustainable future.

As our plants continue to flourish, we are excited to announce that the produce from our garden is available for sale to our community – grab a bunch of organic Mustard Spinach for just R10. It’s a remarkable opportunity for all of us to support local, organic produce while directly contributing to the growth and well-being of our neighborhood.

None of this would be possible without the unwavering dedication of our volunteers. Week in and week out, rain or shine, they roll up their sleeves and lend their helping hands to make our garden thrive. Your contributions, whether big or small, have an immeasurable impact, and we’re immensely grateful for your selfless support.

We couldn’t be more excited about the future of our organic food garden and the positive change it’s bringing to our community. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to nurture, grow, and give back together!
